One of Austria’s most popular running events – the Austrian Women’s Run – will take place on 21 May 2017. Now in its 30th year, the race has set a new participation record with 35,000 starters. ERGO Austria will also be a sponsor again this year. Visitors can anticipate a colourful programme during the event weekend at ERGO’s stand at the Viennese Prater fairground.
The success story of the Austrian Women’s Run is taking its 30th lap this year: while the number of participants was around 500 in the beginning, the sporting event has developed into one of the top three women’s runs in the world with 35,000 starters in 2017. ERGO was already an Austrian Women’s Run sponsor last year and will be at the starting line as a partner this year as well.
“Last year was the first time that we were able to experience first-hand the unique vibe at the race and we are very impressed with what has been achieved here with the Austrian Women’s Run in 30 years. It has motivated an enormous number of women to begin running and to set new goals for themselves. This valuable contribution to greater awareness of health and fitness is particularly important to us as an insurer,” says Mag. Josef Adelmann, CEO ERGO Versicherung AG.
The ERGO programme on the weekend of the Austrian Women’s Run
Visitors can anticipate a colourful programme this year at the ERGO stand at the Viennese Prater fairground. As with last year, there will be a photo box where runners and those accompanying them can take a personal, creative souvenir of the Austrian Women’s Run. Little ones and grown-up guests alike can demonstrate their table football skills at the two ERGO football tables. There are prizes to be won from a contest in the areas of sport and well-being. After the run on Sunday, there is a special reward for runners and everyone else who have cheered in support: ERGO testimonial Harald Krassnitzer will hold an autograph session at the ERGO stand.
ERGO offers the right protection for all requirements with a comprehensive range of products, from life and personal accident insurance to insurance for property such as motor and household/home contents. ERGO Member of Board Christian Sipöcz will give a talk about this and answer questions at the Infotalk on the festival stage on Saturday, 20 May at 12 p.m. Advisors will be available for visitors at the ERGO stand on the fairgrounds to give information and answer questions about the products.
